Trending New Anime Takopi’s Original Sin Final Episode Release Date & Time

Takopi’s a cute, cheerful alien from the Happy Planet who arrives on Earth with the mission to spread happiness. He befriends a young, distraught girl named Shizuka Kuze, who is a victim of severe bullying from a classmate, Marina, and neglect at home.

The ongoing New anime “Takopi’s Original Sin” premiered on 28 June 2025. 

Release Date Episode 5 on 27 July 25, and Finale Episode on 03 August 25.

Episode 5: Takopi’s Memory Flashback

In Episode 5 we see something new: Takopi’s flashbacks of past days when meeting Marina before Shizuka in a previous timeline, when Shizuka goes to Tokyo to meet Chappy. The heartbreaking moment of realizing it’s not the same dog.

Takopi initially befriended Marina and tried to make her happy. Marina’s childhood domestic abuse and her parents’ frustrations. This toxic environment leads to violent incidents of physical abuse. She loses hope when Azuma reveals he likes Shizuka. Marina blames on Shizuka.

The “Original Sin.” witnessing Marina’s Takopi decide to disappear Shizuka. He requested The Happy Planet to reveal the time back, but they wiped Takopi’s memory of its mission to Disappear Shizuka and sent it back to Earth.

Takopi meets Shizuko and identifies the truth of Shizuko’s life, her parents’ separation, her lack of friends, and Marina’s bullying. The Takopi memory in Episode 5 is horrified and feels immense guilt over its past intentions. Even Takopi uses its “Happy Gadgets” in Episode 2 to try and “save” Shizuka from Marina, but without remembering its past interaction with Marina or its original “sin.”
